A group of grade 10 and 11 Physical science learners attended a space day hosted by the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Aerospace Systems Research Institute (ASRI) at Denel Overberg Test Range on Tuesday 14 March.
They had the privilege to attend a lecture on rocket technology, experience a radio controlled aircraft demonstration and got to visit to the ASRI Phoenix launch pad and have close-up view of a hybrid rocket.
It was a great educational experience for our learners!
