BDs EXCELL IN PERFORMING ARTS

The MaDFun DC group participated in the South African National Eisteddfod and received a Diploma – Cum Laude 91% and above out of +/- 5700 entries from the whole of South Africa. As a result this group has been selected by the Eisteddfod Academy for the Young Performer Awards Competition, a prestigious Gala event. This competition comprises of 3 elimination rounds for each genre and concludes with a prestigious Final Round where the winners of the semi-final rounds compete for the Gold, Silver, Bronze medals and cash prizes. The first round takes place in March virtually, thereafter should they be selected, they are off to Johannesburg in May for the Semi-Final and Final rounds! Our best wishes accompany these students from Bredasdorp High School under the leadership of Mrs Simóne Rossouw, as well as a huge thank you to Nicole O’Neill who was the assistant teacher and choreographer for this dance.
