The gr 10-Consumer Studies learners’ theme for this morning’s Consumer Studies practice was Christmas. They had to create creative decorations for their carrot cake cupcakes and were also punctual for serving up their creations. The learners did their task very well and are definitely allowed to bake cupcakes for Christmas.
The BD tennis players finished fourth out of eight teams last weekend at the Swellendam Tennis Tournament. It was fun to play competitive tennis against strong schools. Grade 9’s had to make a poster for their Creative Art assessment in which they had to depict the theme “I am in my world”. The grade 9’s definitely have no shortage of creativity!
The Creative Arts assessment for grade 8 involved learners making different hand puppets after which they used their hand puppets for puppet cabinet stories. The grade 8’s came up with very nice ideas. Mrs Scheepers, Creative Arts educator, is very proud of the gr 8’s.

However, special awards were made to participants who achieved the highest points in the Western Cape in their respective divisions.
